Watercolor Batik on Paper Workshop
This workshop is an introduction to the batik process using watercolor paints on Kinwashi paper to create a batik-style painting. Experience with painting is helpful but not required.
Bring a drawing or reference photograph for your design, a roll of paper towels, and two containers for water. Bring watercolor paints and brushes if you have them. Wear suitable clothing or an apron (wax can sometimes splash on clothing). Paper and other supplies will be provided.
Date/Time: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm with 1 hour lunch break, offered July 9, July 28, & September 10, 2026

Botanical Gel Plate Printing Workshop
This workshop is an introduction to gelatin plate mono-printing using local botanicals to create lovely designs. During the workshop you will create four to six greeting cards, each unique, and some with a bonus matching bookmark. I’ll guide you through making layered prints using three colors. No prior experience is required – just bring your curiosity and be prepared to have fun. All supplies will be provided although you can bring leaves and botanicals from your own yard to give the cards your extra personal touch. This workshop is accessible to youth ages 7 and above with an accompanying paying adult.
