Winter Watch
This is an early winter view across the tallgrass prairie at a stand of cottonwood trees growing in a low spot. It is based on a walk I took at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in the heart of the Flint Hills in Kansas. This is the 4th of a limited edition of 10 reduction lino cut prints. The 10 prints differ slightly with my manipulation of the inking of the far hills during the printmaking process. Because of this, I am offering them one-by-one. Each print passed through the press seven times with 10 colors of inks used.
The linocut printed image size is 11.25 inches tall by 15.5 inches wide. The linocut is printed on 15 by 19 inch printmaking paper. It is matted in a light cream mat to fit a 16 x 20 inch frame. The image of the framed lino cut print is for reference only.
