I pass a large Virginia Creeper vine growing up an old willow tree on my neighborhood walks. Each fall it puts on a spectacular show of variegated color that lasts for weeks. After years of enjoyment, the colors finally inspired this reduction linocut block print. A reduction linocut is made using one block of linoleum that is carved and printed repeatedly. The block was carved and printed seven times. Since I often used more than one color of ink for a print layer, there are about eleven colors in the linocut. The edition has 7 prints.

DIMENSIONS: The linocut printed image is 9 by 7 inches in size on 12 by 9.5 inch printmaking paper. It is not matted nor framed. This is numbered the 7th in the edition of 7.
